Participatory budgeting. Moving towards transparency and deeper democracy
The Project “Public budgets from A to Z: greater civil society awareness, access and participation” is tasked to involve the general public, the media, and civil society organizations (CSOs) in public finances monitoring and drawing up the state and local budgets. The Project was being implemented (2016-2018) by East Europe Foundation and the Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation PAUCI funded by the European Union.
Strengthening the participation of vulnerable groups in the budgetary process
On December 20, 2018, the final Conference of the project "Public budgets from A to Z" was held, where the partner organizations presented their activities during the last 2 years.

The Project “Public budgets from A to Z: greater civil society awareness, access and participation” is tasked to involve the general public, the media, and civil society organizations (CSOs) in public finances monitoring and drawing up the state and local budgets. The Project is being implemented (2016-2018) by East Europe Foundation and the Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation PAUCI funded by the European Union.
Project objectives:
Supporting 8 target cities and 2 amalgamated communities, chosen on a competitive basis in implementing a Participatory budgeting initiative. This assistance is include hosting of seminars and trainings, providing consultations and supporting the process of public budget implementation, organizing and conducting study tours as well as providing financial support in launching of information campaigns and arrangement of the public budgeting phases in the target cities and communities.

The Project implemented in partnership PAUCI Foundation with Eastern Europe Foundation, funded by European Union and Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance Project (PLEDDG) implemented by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and financed by Global Affairs Canada.
